Ghen! Ghen! Japanese researchers have claimed to be on the brink of manufacturing a glass that is almost unbreakable. According to the journal SCIENTIFIC REPORTS,the research team claims the glass is as strong as steel and could be used to manufacture stronger windows, tables and doors in the near future. An assistant professor at the tokyo institute of industrial science says the glass would be mass-produced shortly. The technique for making this "James bond" kind of glass is expected to be commercialized within the next 5yrs.
Currently, oxide glass is strengthened by mixing it with alumina. The problem though is the lack of a suitable container to hold the glass during the reaction. But the researches have come up with a way to mix the components in air without using any container. Wow!!
I Wonder when our Nigerian profs would start doing this kinda of thing. Only to teach teach and set exams they know. Lol it's a joke o,we love our professors die!!
These things happen...
